Zimmerman is a Consulting Principal with Greenway
Group, providing services to the AE industry in financial
matters, primarily in ownership transitions and M&A.
Prior to his retirement in early 2009, he was a finance
and operations executive for over 35 years in design

+ years he has been the Director of Finance for M&A,
and the CFO of Perkins + Will, Inc., one of the largest
architectural firms in the world. |

During this period, Dave
played an integral role in the tremendous growth of the
firm through his leadership in the finance function, and
the completion and successful integration of numerous acquisitions(12)
– domestic and international.
Prior to joining Perkins
+ Will, Dave was a Partner with NBBJ
Design, for over 28 years, working in the areas of finance
and operations. He is a MBA and CPA, licensed in Georgia
and Ohio.
He
is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s, the Association
for Corporate Growth (ACG); he is an active Rotarian ,currently
serving as president of the Midtown Atlanta Club; involved
in domestic and international projects, and is active with
international missions with his church.
Mr.
Zimmerman and his wife Linda reside in Decatur, GA; they
have three children – all married.

Dave Zimmerman brings years of finance, M&A experience
from the largest architecture firms in the world.
NORCROSS,
GA – The Greenway Group begins 2009 with a notable
addition to its team of experienced and well-networked consultants.
Dave Zimmerman has joined the staff as a consulting principal.
“Dave
is one of the most trusted and savvy financial analysts
in the design industry,” said Greenway Chairman James
P. Cramer. “He provides levels of depth and excellence
to serve clients at the highest levels. He’ll be a
great fit.”
Zimmerman has more than 30 years’ experience in design
firm management. Prior to joining Greenway, he was the director
of finance for mergers and acquisitions and the chief financial
officer of Perkins+Will Inc., one of the largest architecture
firms in the world. He played an integral role in the tremendous
growth of the firm through his leadership in the finance
function and the completion and successful integration of
numerous domestic and international acquisitions.

greatest strength is his deep and broad experience in all

Prior to his appointment at Perkins+Will, Zimmerman was
a partner with NBBJ Design for more than 25 years, working
in finance and operations. Friedrich K.M. Bohm is a former
NBBJ partner and chairman who worked with Zimmerman for
many years. According to Bohm, Zimmerman “possesses
a deep understanding of all issues that face the practice
of architecture and has an ability to work through complex
issues by making them seem uncomplicated and understandable
to all."
Zimmerman has an M.B.A. and is a certified public accountant
licensed in Georgia and Ohio.
